Free online graphing calculator: plot functions, implicit equations, inequalities, parametric and polar curves with sliders, roots and intersections.

Drag to pan, scroll or pinch to zoom, hover or tap a curve to trace it, click a gray point to pin its coordinates.

What can I type?
  • Functions: y = x^2 - 3, or simply x^2 - 3. Use x = y^2 for a curve given in y.
  • Equations in x and y: x^2 + y^2 = 25 or (x^2 + y^2 - 1)^3 = x^2 y^3.
  • Inequalities: y > x^2 or x^2 + y^2 <= 9 (the boundary is dashed for < and >).
  • Parametric curves: (cos(t), sin(t)). Polar curves: r = 2 + cos(θ). Edit the t or θ range under the row.
  • Points: (1, 2) or (1, 2), (3, 4), or add a table.
  • Letters such as a, b or k become sliders automatically: press play to animate them.
  • Define a function with f(x) = ... and reuse it: y = f(x - 1).
  • Available: sin cos tan sec csc cot, asin acos atan, sinh cosh tanh, ln, log (base 10), sqrt, abs, floor, ceil, exp, pi and e.

About Graphing Calculator

The graphing calculator plots almost anything you can write: functions y = f(x), curves x = g(y), implicit equations such as x² + y² = 25, inequalities with shaded regions, parametric curves (x(t), y(t)), polar curves r(θ), points and tables of values.

Any extra letter you type becomes a slider, so y = a(x - h)² + k gets three sliders you can drag or animate. Roots, extrema, y-intercepts and intersections are found automatically and shown as gray points you can click to pin their coordinates.

Curves are sampled adaptively, so asymptotes and jumps are never joined by fake vertical lines. Everything runs in your browser, the graph can be saved as a PNG, and the share link reopens the exact same graph.

How to use Graphing Calculator

  1. Type an expression in the first row, for example y = x^2 - 3 or x^2 + y^2 = 16.
  2. Press Enter to add another row; use Table to plot a list of points.
  3. Drag sliders or press play to animate any parameter.
  4. Pan by dragging, zoom with the wheel, a pinch or the + and - buttons, and hover or tap a curve to trace it.
  5. Download the graph as a PNG or copy a share link that keeps every expression and the view.

Frequently asked questions

Explicit functions y = f(x), curves x = g(y), implicit equations in x and y, inequalities, parametric curves using t, polar curves using θ, single points, lists of points and tables. You can also define your own functions such as f(x) = x^2 and reuse them.

Any letter that is not x, y, t, r or θ becomes a parameter, and a slider row is added for it automatically. Change its range in the small boxes on each side, or press play to sweep the value back and forth.

The calculator scans the visible part of each function, then refines every sign change and every turning point numerically. The results appear as gray points; click one to keep its coordinates on screen.

Each curve is sampled more finely where it changes quickly, and the line is broken whenever the function jumps, so graphs such as tan(x) or 1/x look the way they should.

Yes. The share button copies a link with all expressions, colors, sliders and the current view encoded in it, and the image button downloads a PNG of the graph.
