About Flashcard Maker
The Flashcard Maker turns a two-column list into a set of printable cards. Paste your pairs one per line, separated by a vertical bar, a tab, a semicolon or a comma, add an optional third column for a category label, and the sheets are laid out immediately at 2, 4, 8 or 10 cards to a page.
The part that decides whether a flashcard sheet is usable is the back. Fronts are printed on one sheet and backs on the next, with the columns of the back sheet reversed left to right, because a duplex printer set to flip on the long edge turns a portrait page over about its long side and mirrors it horizontally. That reversal is what puts each answer directly behind its own question when you cut the sheet up.
Cut guides can be printed as light dashed rules between the cards, corners can be rounded, and the text size follows the card size so a long definition still fits. Everything is drawn in real millimetres in your browser, so the preview, the printout and the PDF are the same sheets at the same size, and your list never leaves the page.
How to use Flashcard Maker
- Paste your pairs, one card per line, front and back separated by a bar or a tab.
- Choose how many cards go on a page: 2, 4, 8 or 10.
- Leave the backs switched on so a mirrored back sheet follows every front sheet.
- Turn cut guides and rounded corners on or off, and set the text size.
- Print double-sided with flipping on the long edge, or download the PDF.
