About AI Image Upscaler

The AI Image Upscaler enlarges an image to 2× or 4× its original size while reconstructing detail instead of just stretching pixels. Choose Sharper HD for a clean 2× enlargement or Maximum detail for the full 4×: small web images, old exports and cropped photos come out usable at print and screen sizes.

An image-type setting (photo, illustration, anime/line art, or text & graphics) tells the model what kind of detail to rebuild, so line art keeps crisp strokes and photos gain realistic texture rather than painterly smudging.

Upscaling runs on the server and uses credits from your account; a failed upscale is never charged, and uploads are cleaned up automatically. Results appear as a before/after comparison.

How to use AI Image Upscaler

  1. Sign in and upload an image (JPG, PNG or WEBP), or paste it from the clipboard.
  2. Choose the scale factor: 2× for sharper HD or 4× for maximum detail.
  3. Pick the image type: photo, illustration, anime/line art, or text & graphics.
  4. Click “Upscale image” and wait while the enlargement is generated.
  5. Compare before and after with the slider, then download the upscaled image.

Frequently asked questions

Each successful upscale uses credits from your account: the exact amount is shown on the page. Failed attempts are not charged, and you need to be signed in.

2× doubles the width and height (four times the pixels) and is the safer choice for already-decent images. 4× quadruples the dimensions for maximum enlargement: best when the source is very small.

The type guides what kind of detail the model reconstructs. Photos get realistic texture and grain, illustrations and anime keep clean flat colors and crisp lines, and text & graphics preserves sharp letterforms and edges.

Classic resizing interpolates existing pixels, which produces soft, blurry enlargements. The upscaler generates plausible new detail (edges, texture, strokes), so the result looks like it was captured at the larger size.

It is processed on the server to run the upscale, and both uploads and results are cleaned up automatically after a period. Download the enlarged image once the comparison looks right.
