About Flip & Rotate Image

Flip & Rotate Image mirrors, flips and rotates a photo in seconds. Flip horizontally to un-mirror a selfie, flip vertically, rotate in 90° steps in either direction, or use the straighten slider to level a slightly crooked shot by a few degrees.

The preview updates instantly with every change, and a reset button returns the image to its original orientation if you overshoot. Transformations are applied at full resolution, so nothing is lost besides the rotation itself.

Everything runs in your browser — the image is never uploaded — and the result downloads as lossless PNG or a smaller JPG with an adjustable quality setting.

How to use Flip & Rotate Image

  1. Upload an image (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 25 MB) or paste it from the clipboard.
  2. Click flip horizontal or flip vertical to mirror the image.
  3. Rotate left or right in 90° steps, or drag the straighten slider for fine leveling.
  4. Pick PNG or JPG and download the corrected image.

Frequently asked questions

Yes — flipping, rotating and straightening images is completely free, with no credits or account required.

Use “Flip horizontal”. Front cameras usually mirror the preview, so text and logos appear reversed; a single horizontal flip restores the real-world orientation.

Rotate turns the image in exact 90° steps — for photos saved sideways or upside down. Straighten tilts it by just a few degrees to level a crooked horizon without changing the overall orientation.

No. Flipping, rotating and exporting all happen locally in your browser, so the image never leaves your device.

90° rotations and flips are lossless operations on the pixels. If you export as JPG, the usual JPG compression applies — choose PNG when you want a fully lossless result.
