About Audio Equalizer

The Audio Equalizer reshapes the tone of a track with one-click presets or your own bass and treble settings. Presets cover the common jobs — bass boost, bass cut, treble boost, bright and crisp, vocal clarity, podcast polish, and a loudness curve that lifts both ends — while custom mode gives you bass and treble gain controls up to ±12 dB.

A live preview plays your file through the EQ in the browser: switch presets while it plays and toggle the effect on and off to compare against the original, with a curve display showing exactly what changes. The in-browser preview is an approximation; the final file is rendered in full quality on the server.

Upload MP3, WAV, M4A, or OGG and download the equalized MP3. The tool is free — a fast way to add warmth to thin recordings, tame boomy bass, or give spoken word a broadcast-style polish.

How to use Audio Equalizer

  1. Upload an audio file — MP3, WAV, M4A, or OGG.
  2. Pick a preset, or choose Custom and set the bass and treble gains yourself.
  3. Press play and audition presets live; toggle the EQ off to compare with the original.
  4. Click Apply EQ and download the equalized MP3.

Frequently asked questions

Start with the Podcast preset, which applies a broadcast-style polish for speech, or Vocal clarity to lift voices out of a busy mix. Audition both with the live preview and keep whichever sounds more natural on your recording.

Yes. Choose Custom and adjust bass and treble gain independently, up to 12 dB of boost or cut each. The curve display shows the resulting shape, and the live preview lets you hear it before rendering.

The browser preview is a close approximation running in real time. The downloaded MP3 is rendered on the server with full-quality filters, so it is the more accurate version of the two.

Yes, applying EQ presets or custom settings is free and requires no account.

EQ itself just rebalances frequencies; the output is re-encoded as a clean MP3. Avoid extreme boosts on already-loud tracks, which can push peaks into distortion — modest 3–6 dB moves usually sound best.
