About Maze Generator
The Maze Generator draws printable mazes of any difficulty, from a gentle 10x14 grid for young children up to a 34x46 expert labyrinth. Every maze is carved with a depth-first backtracking algorithm, which produces what puzzle makers call a perfect maze: every square is reachable, there is no loop, and exactly one route joins the entrance to the exit.
You choose where that route begins and ends, top to bottom, left to right or opposite corners, how thick the walls are drawn, and how many different mazes to print in one go. A solution page can be added for each maze, showing the single valid path traced from the start arrow to the finish.
The sheet is laid out in real millimetres and drawn as vector graphics, so the printed maze is crisp at any size and the PDF stays sharp when it is enlarged for a classroom wall. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored: the maze is built in your browser from the seed shown under the options, which also lets you reprint the very same maze later.
How to use Maze Generator
- Pick a difficulty, or choose Custom and set the number of columns and rows.
- Choose where the start and the finish should be, and how thick the walls should look.
- Set how many mazes you want to print.
- Turn the solution page on if you need the answer.
- Print the mazes, or download them as a PDF.
