About Screen Recorder

The Screen Recorder captures your entire screen, a single window or one browser tab without installing any software. You can include system or tab audio, add your voice from the microphone, and pause and resume the recording as many times as you need.

Recording happens locally in your browser using the screen-sharing permission — you choose exactly what to share when you press Start, and only that surface is captured. To grab tab or system sound, share a browser tab and tick “Share tab audio” in the picker.

When you stop, the recording is finished on the server and exported as a polished MP4 for best compatibility or as WebM for the fastest export. Sign in to export and download your recording.

How to use Screen Recorder

  1. Choose your audio sources — system/tab audio, microphone, or both.
  2. Press Start recording and pick the screen, window or tab to capture.
  3. Record as long as you need; pause and resume any time.
  4. Press Stop and review the preview of your recording.
  5. Pick MP4 or WebM, then export and download the finished video.

No. The recorder uses your browser’s built-in screen capture, so it works without extensions or downloads. A recent desktop Chrome, Edge or Firefox is required — it is not available on most mobile browsers.

Yes. Enable system/tab audio to capture what is playing on screen, the microphone to add your voice, or both together. For tab audio, share a browser tab and tick “Share tab audio” when prompted.

Yes, recording and exporting are free. You will be asked to sign in when you export, so your finished videos can be delivered to you and appear in your recent results.

The capture itself happens locally in your browser — nothing is transmitted while you record. When you export, the recording is sent to the server once to be finalized into MP4 or WebM, and files are cleaned up automatically afterward.

MP4 (H.264) plays everywhere and is the safe choice for sharing. WebM is the browser’s native recording format, so it exports fastest — pick it when you just need a quick file for the web.
