About Add Audio to Video
Add Audio to Video puts background music, a voice-over or any soundtrack onto a clip. Choose Replace to remove the original sound entirely, or Mix to layer the new track on top of what is already there. An option trims the output to the shorter of the video and the audio so neither runs on alone.
The synced live preview plays the video and the new track together in your browser before you apply anything — with track bars that show how long each part runs — so you can confirm the timing and the mix mode fit.
Your picture is not re-encoded, so there is no visual quality loss; the new soundtrack is encoded as high-quality AAC and the result downloads as an MP4. The tool is free to use.
How to use Add Audio to Video
- Upload your video and the audio file to add — MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, AAC, FLAC or Opus.
- Choose Replace original audio or Mix with original audio.
- Optionally enable trimming to the shorter of the video and audio.
- Use the live preview to hear the new soundtrack in sync.
- Click Add audio and download the finished MP4.
