About Grayscale PDF
Grayscale PDF removes the colour from a PDF. In grayscale mode every colour, in text, drawings and photos alike, becomes a shade of gray, while text stays real text you can select and search, and vector drawings stay perfectly sharp. It is the safe choice before printing on a black and white printer, or to make a file lighter and more uniform.
Black and white mode is made for scans and photos of documents. Each page is redrawn as pure black ink on white paper with an adaptive threshold that ignores shadows, uneven lighting and the yellowish tint of paper, so faint scans come back crisp and high contrast and print cleanly.
You choose how images are handled: keep their original resolution, or resample them for a smaller file. When the conversion is done, the first page is shown before and after, together with the size of both files.
