About Merge Images

Merge Images joins two or more pictures into a single file. Put photos side by side for a before-and-after comparison, stack them vertically to build one tall image, or stitch a series of phone screenshots into a long scrolling capture you can share in one go. You can combine up to 20 images at once, in any order.

The tool matches the images for you: with “Match smallest” every picture gets the same height (side by side) or the same width (stacked) without ever being upscaled, “Match largest” scales them up to the biggest one, and “Original sizes” keeps each image untouched with a top, middle or bottom alignment. Add a gap, outer padding, rounded corners, a thin border and a solid or transparent background, and the live preview shows the exact result with its final size and estimated file weight.

Everything happens in your browser: your images are never uploaded, and the tool is free. Download the merged picture at full resolution as PNG, JPG or WebP, or copy it straight to the clipboard to paste it into a chat or a document.

How to use Merge Images

  1. Add 2 to 20 images (JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF): choose them, drop them on the page or paste them from the clipboard.
  2. Drag the thumbnails into the order you want, or use the Reverse button.
  3. Pick a direction: side by side or stacked. For screenshots, one click on “Stitch screenshots” sets everything up.
  4. Choose how sizes are matched, then adjust the gap, padding, corners, border and background.
  5. Pick PNG, JPG or WebP, check the final size, and download the merged image or copy it.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Merging, previewing and downloading are completely free and need no account, with no watermark on the result.

Add your screenshots in order and click “Stitch screenshots”. The images are stacked vertically at the same width with no gap or padding, so they read as one continuous capture.

With “Match smallest”, images are only ever scaled down to the smallest one, never upscaled, and PNG keeps every pixel intact. Very long results are capped at the maximum long side you choose (8000 px by default) so browsers can save them; a notice tells you when that happens.

Yes. Pick the transparent background and export as PNG or WebP: the gaps, padding and rounded corners stay transparent. JPG does not support transparency, so it is turned off in that case.

From 2 up to 20 images, each up to 25 MB. You can add more at any time with the “Add more” tile, by dropping files on the preview, or by pasting an image.

No. The images are read, merged and encoded entirely in your browser, so they never leave your device.
