About Image Color Extractor
The Image Color Extractor pulls a copy-ready color palette from any photo. Upload a JPG, PNG or WEBP file and the tool analyzes the image with a perceptual median-cut algorithm, grouping millions of pixels into a compact set of representative colors you can copy, export or reuse in a design straight away.
Instead of returning one flat list, the extractor derives five distinct moods from a single analysis — Colorful, Bright, Muted, Deep and Dark — so you can pick the interpretation that fits your project. A slider controls how many colors each mood shows, up to ten swatches per mood.
Every swatch copies with one click, and the whole palette exports as CSS variables, a JSON file or a PNG swatch sheet. It is a fast way to get colors from an image for a website theme, a presentation or a brand moodboard — no design software required.
How to use Image Color Extractor
- Upload a JPG, PNG or WEBP image by dragging it into the upload area or clicking to browse.
- Choose how many colors you want and click "Extract palette".
- Switch between the Colorful, Bright, Muted, Deep and Dark moods to compare interpretations.
- Click any swatch to copy its value, or use "Copy all" and "Copy CSS" for the whole palette.
- Download the palette as a PNG sheet or a JSON file if you want to keep it.
