About Change Image DPI

The DPI Changer rewrites the print resolution of an image (to 300 DPI for print, or any custom value) without touching a single pixel. Drop an image and the tool shows its current DPI and dimensions, lets you pick a preset (72, 96, 150, 300 or 600) or type your own, and previews the resulting print size in inches and centimetres before you download.

Unlike converters that re-save the whole image, this tool patches only the density metadata: the JFIF and EXIF resolution fields in a JPEG, the pHYs chunk in a PNG, or the resolution tags in a TIFF. The pixels are copied byte-for-byte, so there is zero quality loss and the file downloads instantly. Formats without a DPI field, such as GIF or BMP, are re-encoded to PNG with a clear notice.

No. DPI is metadata: a printing instruction, not pixel data. This tool rewrites only the density fields, so the pixels are exactly the ones you uploaded and the quality is identical.
