About Website Screenshot Generator

The Website Screenshot Generator turns any public web address into an image. Our server opens the page in a real, headless Chrome browser, waits for it to load, for its fonts and its images, then captures exactly what a visitor would see, without anything to install on your side.

Pick the device you want to see the page on: a 1440 px desktop, a laptop, a Full HD screen, a tablet, an iPhone, an Android phone or any custom width and height. Mobile presets use a real mobile viewport and user agent, so responsive sites show their mobile layout, not a shrunken desktop page.

Choose between the visible area and the full page, ask the site for its dark color scheme, raise the pixel density to 2x or 3x for sharp retina images, and export as PNG, JPG or WebP. Cookie banners, ads and trackers can be hidden for a clean result, and "Capture all devices" shoots desktop, tablet and mobile in one go, ready to download as a ZIP.

How to use Website Screenshot Generator

  1. Type or paste the website address, for example example.com or a full https:// link.
  2. Pick a device, or enter a custom width and height.
  3. Choose the capture area (visible area or full page), the format, the pixel density and any page options such as dark mode.
  4. Click "Capture screenshot", or "Capture all devices" for desktop, tablet and mobile side by side.
  5. Zoom into the preview, then download the image, copy it to the clipboard or download the ZIP of every device.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Capturing a page costs nothing and needs no account. Fair-use limits apply to keep the service fast for everyone, so a burst of many captures in a minute is briefly paused.

The visible area is what fits in the chosen screen, like the first view after the page opens. The full page scrolls through the whole document, loading lazy images on the way, and captures it from top to bottom as one tall image. Extremely long pages are cut at a maximum height.

The capture runs from our server, in a clean browser with no cookies, extensions or logins. Sites may show a different language, a different country version or a consent banner. Content behind a login cannot be captured.

PNG is lossless and best for text, interfaces and documentation. JPG and WebP are much smaller for pages full of photos; WebP gives the smallest files at the same quality and is supported by every modern browser.

They render the page like a retina or high-density screen: the layout stays the same, but the image has two or three times more pixels in each direction, so text and icons stay sharp when zoomed or shown on a large display.

No. Only public websites can be captured. Addresses on a private network, localhost and internal servers are refused, for security reasons.

They are stored for a limited time so you can download them, then deleted automatically. Download the images or the ZIP you want to keep.
