About Open Graph Generator

The Open Graph Generator creates the og: and twitter: meta tags that control how a link unfurls when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, X and other platforms. Set the content type (website, article, product or profile), title, description, canonical URL, image, site name and locale, plus Twitter Card options including card type and site/author handles.

Two live previews — one styled like a Facebook/LinkedIn share card and one like an X card — update as you type, so you can see exactly how the title, description, domain and 1200 × 630 px image will appear before the page ever goes live.

Everything runs in your browser; nothing you type is uploaded. Copy the generated Open Graph and Twitter Card tags to your clipboard or download them as an HTML snippet ready to paste into your page's <head>.

How to use Open Graph Generator

  1. Choose the og:type — website, article, product or profile — or click "Fill sample" to start from an example.
  2. Enter the title, description, canonical URL and image URL (1200 × 630 px is recommended), plus the site name and locale.
  3. Set the Twitter Card type (Summary or Summary with large image) and optional @site and @creator handles.
  4. Review both social-card previews as they update live.
  5. Copy the generated meta tags or download the .html file and add it to your page.

Frequently asked questions

Use 1200 × 630 pixels. That ratio renders sharply as a large card on Facebook, LinkedIn and X without unexpected cropping.

X falls back to Open Graph for most fields, but twitter:card is needed to choose the card layout, and twitter:site / twitter:creator add attribution — the generator outputs all of them together.

Social platforms cache link previews. After deploying new tags, re-scrape the URL with the platform's sharing debugger or card validator to refresh the cache.
