About Find & Replace / Bulk Edit
Find & Replace / Bulk Edit brings editor-grade search and replace to spreadsheets in the browser. Search with match-case, whole-cell or regular-expression options, replace across every column or only the ones you choose, and decide whether the header row is included. Changed cells are highlighted in the preview and counted, so you see exactly what will change before downloading.
Beyond find and replace, one-click bulk transforms clean an entire sheet: trim leading and trailing spaces, collapse repeated spaces, or convert text to UPPERCASE, lowercase or Title Case. Combined with regex patterns like \d+ or ^\s+, this covers most cleanup jobs that would otherwise need formulas.
The tool opens XLSX, XLS, CSV, TSV and ODS files and exports the edited sheet as Excel or CSV. All matching and editing runs locally — your data never leaves the device.
How to use Find & Replace / Bulk Edit
- Upload a spreadsheet or load the sample.
- Enter the text to find and its replacement, enabling Match case, Whole cell or Regex as needed.
- Optionally pick a bulk transform — trim spaces, collapse spaces, or change case.
- Set the scope to all columns or chosen columns, and decide whether to include the header row.
- Review the highlighted changes and the changed-cell count in the preview.
- Choose Excel or CSV and download the edited file.
