About Remove Duplicate Rows

Remove Duplicate Rows finds and deletes duplicates in a spreadsheet — across every column, or only the columns you select. Comparing by chosen columns is the powerful mode: match on just the email column, for instance, and rows count as duplicates even when other cells differ.

Matching is tunable: ignore case, trim surrounding spaces, and decide whether the first or the last occurrence of each duplicate group is kept. The result panel reports total data rows, unique rows and how many were removed, with a preview of the cleaned table.

The tool accepts XLSX, XLS, CSV, TSV and ODS files and runs entirely in your browser — your list never leaves your device, and the original file is never modified; you download a new, deduplicated copy.

How to use Remove Duplicate Rows

  1. Upload your spreadsheet — XLSX, XLS, CSV, TSV or ODS.
  2. Choose what to compare: all columns, or a subset such as just the email column.
  3. Tune the matching with “Ignore case” and “Trim spaces”, and pick whether to keep the first or last match.
  4. Review the stats — total, unique, removed — and the preview.
  5. Download the deduplicated file.

Yes, removing duplicate rows is free with no account or limits.

You choose. Keep first preserves the earliest occurrence of each group (the common choice); keep last preserves the most recent one, useful when later rows carry updated data.

Only if you want them to. Enable “Ignore case” so ada@example.com matches ADA@Example.com, and “Trim spaces” so stray leading or trailing whitespace does not hide a duplicate.

No. The tool builds a new, deduplicated file for download; your source file on disk is untouched, so you can always go back to it.
