—About Public Holidays by Country
This tool lists the public holidays of dozens of popular countries — including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, India, Japan, China, Brazil and Mexico — for any year you choose, roughly a decade back or ahead of the current one.
Dates are computed live in your browser rather than fetched from an API. Fixed dates, weekday-based rules like “fourth Thursday of November” and Easter-derived holidays such as Good Friday and Whit Monday are all calculated on the fly, including the Computus algorithm for finding Easter Sunday in any year.
Where a country moves holidays that fall on a weekend, the tool applies the local observance rule and marks the shifted date with an “observed” badge. Results are grouped by month, filterable by name, and each holiday can be copied with a click — useful for planning projects, travel and payroll calendars.
