About AI Token & Cost Calculator
The AI token and cost calculator estimates what your LLM API calls will cost. Paste text to estimate its token count — roughly one token per four characters — or enter input and output token figures directly, then pick a model from the built-in pricing list or supply custom per-million-token prices.
The calculator multiplies input and output tokens by their respective USD prices per 1,000,000 tokens, giving the cost per call with a breakdown of input versus output cost. Add your expected calls per day and it projects daily, monthly and yearly spend — the numbers you need before shipping an AI feature.
Because output tokens usually cost several times more than input tokens, the split matters: a chatty response format can dominate your bill. All estimates run free in your browser; verify prices against your provider before budgeting, as rates change often and tokenization varies by model and language.
