About Mouse Tester
The Mouse Tester checks every button on your mouse against a visual diagram: left, middle and right click, the back and forward side buttons, and wheel scrolling in both directions. Each control lights up the instant it registers — if a button stays dark while you press it, your mouse is not sending that input to the computer.
A dedicated double-click test measures the interval between your two clicks and warns when it is suspiciously short. That pattern — two clicks firing from a single physical press — is the classic symptom of a worn micro-switch, the most common mouse fault and a valid reason for a warranty claim.
Everything runs in your browser with no download and no upload. The right-click context menu is disabled inside the test area so the right button can be tested properly, and a click counter plus reset button let you run repeated checks.
How to use Mouse Tester
- Move your cursor into the test area on the page.
- Click each button — left, middle, right, back and forward — and watch it light up on the diagram.
- Scroll the wheel up and down to confirm both directions register.
- Double-click inside the double-click box and read the measured interval.
- Watch for double-clicks you did not make — they indicate a worn switch.
- Press Reset to clear the results and test again.
