About Weight Loss Timeline Calculator
The weight loss timeline calculator shows how long it will take to reach your goal weight at a steady weekly rate. Enter your current weight, goal weight and the amount you plan to lose each week, and it returns your estimated goal date, the weeks remaining and the total to lose.
It also computes the required daily calorie deficit, using the standard conversion of roughly 7,700 kcal per kilogram of body weight (3,500 kcal per pound). Losing 0.5 kg per week, for example, means averaging about a 550 kcal daily deficit through diet, activity or both.
A sustainable pace is 0.5–1% of body weight per week — the input hint reminds you of it. The tool is free, works in metric or imperial, and its projections are estimates rather than medical advice.
