About Image to ASCII Art
The Image to ASCII Art converter turns any photo or logo into text art using your browser and the canvas API. Drop in a JPG, PNG, WEBP or GIF and the tool maps pixel brightness to characters, rendering the result live as you adjust the settings.
You control the output width in characters, the character set — Standard, Blocks, Simple, or a custom dark-to-light ramp you type yourself — plus contrast, brightness, an invert toggle for dark backgrounds, and a colored HTML mode that keeps the original image colors.
When you are happy with the result, copy the text to your clipboard, download it as a .txt file, or export a rendered .png image of the art. Nothing is uploaded: the whole conversion happens on your device.
