About DNS Lookup

The DNS Lookup queries the live DNS records of any domain server-side and lays them out in clean, copyable tables. Nine record types are checked in one pass: A and AAAA addresses, CNAME aliases, MX mail exchangers with their priorities, NS name servers, TXT records, the SOA record, SRV service records and CAA certificate-authority authorizations.

Each record is shown with its current TTL, so you can verify how long resolvers will cache a value — crucial when planning a migration or debugging why an update has not propagated yet. Internationalized domain names are converted to punycode automatically, and any value can be copied with one click.

Typical uses: confirming an A record change went live, checking SPF and verification TXT records, validating MX priorities before a mail migration, or auditing CAA records ahead of a certificate issuance. How to use DNS Lookup

Results are cached for a few minutes on our side, and resolvers worldwide cache records for the duration of the TTL. Check the TTL column: a record with a 3600-second TTL can take up to an hour to update everywhere.

Time To Live, in seconds — how long a resolver may cache the record before asking again. Lower it ahead of planned changes so updates propagate quickly, then raise it back to reduce query load.

Yes. Domains with accented or non-Latin characters are converted to their punycode form (xn--…) automatically before the query, which is how the DNS actually stores them.

Yes, it is free and requires no account. Queries are rate-limited per visitor, so if you are checking many domains in a row, pace the lookups by a minute.
