Raw WHOIS record
Many registrars redact owner contact details for privacy (GDPR) — the registrar, dates and name servers remain public.
About WHOIS Lookup
The WHOIS Lookup queries the authoritative WHOIS server for any domain and returns the full registration record. The tool first asks the IANA root to find the correct WHOIS server for the domain extension, then queries that server directly over port 43 — the same protocol path a command-line whois client follows.
The headline facts are extracted for you: registrar, creation date, expiry date, last update, domain status codes and the delegated name servers. Below that, the complete raw WHOIS record is shown and can be copied in one click for documentation or dispute paperwork.
Use it to check when a domain expires, confirm which registrar manages it, verify name-server delegation after a DNS migration, or research whether a domain you want is close to dropping. Results are cached for an hour, and subdomains are automatically reduced to the registrable domain.
How to use WHOIS Lookup
- Enter the domain name, for example example.com — subdomains are trimmed to the registrable domain automatically.
- Click “Look up” and wait while the authoritative WHOIS server is queried.
- Read the extracted fields: registrar, created, expires, last updated, status and name servers.
- Scroll to the raw WHOIS record for the complete unedited response.
- Use “Copy raw record” to save the full text for your records.
