About Sheet Border Generator

The Sheet Border Generator draws a printable drawing frame with optional zone reference markings — the border and grid-reference system used on technical drawing sheets. Choose the sheet size from A4 up to A1 or US Letter, set the edge margin, an extra binding margin and the border line weight.

Zone reference markings divide the frame edges into lettered and numbered zones so a detail can be located by coordinates like B3, the convention used on ISO-style technical sheets. You control the number of zone divisions, can toggle the markings off entirely, and can add an inner double line for a more formal frame.

The preview updates live in the browser; Print and Download generate the final PDF server-side at exact millimeter dimensions. Print at 100% scale so the margins stay true — useful for drafting sheets, drawing templates and standardizing the sheets of a small office.

How to use Sheet Border Generator

  1. Choose the sheet size (A4, A3, A2, A1 or US Letter) and orientation.
  2. Set the edge margin, binding margin and border line weight in millimeters.
  3. Toggle zone reference markings on or off and set the zone divisions.
  4. Optionally enable the inner double line, checking the live preview as you go.
  5. Print or download the PDF, and print at 100% scale so the margins stay true.
