About Grid Paper Generator
The Grid Paper Generator produces printable graph paper, dot grids and isometric grids at exact millimeter dimensions. Set the grid type, spacing, margin, line color and line weight, choose A4, A3 or US Letter in portrait or landscape, and watch the live preview update as you type.
Three grid types cover most drafting needs: a square grid for orthographic sketching and layout work, a dot grid for cleaner freehand sketching and bullet-style planning, and an isometric grid — with optional vertical lines — for axonometric and isometric drawing. Line colors include light gray, blueprint blue and mint green.
The preview is drawn instantly in your browser; when you hit Print or Download, the final PDF is generated server-side so the geometry is mathematically exact. Print at 100% scale (never fit to page) and the spacing on paper matches the millimeter values you set.
How to use Grid Paper Generator
- Choose the grid type: square grid, dot grid or isometric grid.
- Set the spacing and margin in millimeters, and pick a line color and weight.
- Select the paper size and orientation, checking the live preview as you adjust.
- For isometric grids, toggle vertical lines on if you want them.
- Click Print / Save as PDF or Download PDF, and print at 100% scale to keep the spacing true.
