URL, source, medium and campaign are the fields analytics tools expect; term and content are optional.
Quick presets
What each parameter means
- utm_source
- Where the traffic comes from — the site or platform (google, facebook, newsletter).
- utm_medium
- How it gets to you — the channel (cpc, email, social, referral).
- utm_campaign
- Why — the campaign, promotion or product name (spring_sale).
- utm_term
- Which paid keyword triggered the ad (optional, mostly for search ads).
- utm_content
- Which variant was clicked — useful for A/B tests and multiple links in one email (optional).
About UTM Link Builder
The UTM Link Builder creates tracked campaign URLs for Google Analytics and other analytics platforms. Enter your landing page and fill in utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign — the three parameters analytics tools expect — plus the optional utm_term and utm_content fields, and the final link updates live as you type.
Quick presets fill in sensible values for the most common channels: Google Ads, a Facebook post, an email newsletter or a LinkedIn post. A “force lowercase” option keeps your parameter values consistent, which matters because analytics platforms treat “Email” and “email” as two different mediums.
The builder runs entirely in your browser. The URL is never stored, shortened or sent to a server — you simply copy the finished campaign link and paste it into your ad platform, email tool or social scheduler.
How to use UTM Link Builder
- Paste your landing page address into the Website URL field.
- Fill in the campaign source, medium and name — or click a preset like Google Ads or Email newsletter to prefill them.
- Add utm_term and utm_content if you need keyword or A/B-variant tracking.
- Enable “Force lowercase values” to keep reporting consistent.
- Copy the generated campaign URL, or open it in a new tab to verify it works.
