Privacy Policy Generator
About Privacy Policy Generator
The Privacy Policy Generator turns a short questionnaire into a structured privacy policy template. You describe who you are, what your website or app collects, which third-party services process that data for you, how long you keep it and which user-rights clauses you want, and the document is assembled section by section as you answer.
It can include the clauses commonly used for the GDPR — legal bases for processing, international transfers, the list of data-subject rights, the data protection officer — and the clauses commonly used for the CCPA/CPRA, such as the right to know, to delete, to correct and to opt out. You can also generate a plain, generic set of choices if neither regime applies to you.
A generated document is a starting point, not legal advice, and it cannot make a website compliant on its own. Read every clause, delete what does not match your real practices, add anything specific to your business and have a qualified lawyer review the result before you publish it. The tool is free and entirely client-side: your answers stay in your browser and are saved only in its local storage.
How to use Privacy Policy Generator
- Fill in the first step: company or owner name, website name and URL, entity type, country, contact email and effective date.
- Tick the types of data you actually collect — identity, contact, payment, usage, cookies, analytics, location and so on.
- Select the third-party services that receive or process data for you, and add any others one per line.
- Set your retention period and switch on the clauses you need: international transfers, marketing, profiling, children.
- Choose the rights clauses (GDPR-style, CCPA-style or generic), then copy the document, download it as .txt or .md, or print it.
- Have a qualified lawyer review the draft before you publish it on your website.
