About PowerShell Cheat Sheet
This PowerShell cheat sheet covers the shell from discovery to automation: getting help and discovery, variables and types, the pipeline and filtering, files and paths, strings and text, loops and conditionals, functions and scripts, objects and properties, processes and services, remoting and jobs, and modules and packages.
PowerShell differs from POSIX shells because the pipeline carries objects, not text — so the sheet leans on the discovery cmdlets and the object-filtering patterns that make that model click, alongside the file, string and process commands admins reach for daily.
The sheet is free and client-side. Filter cmdlets live with the search box, jump between sections from the sticky table of contents, copy any command with one click and print the page for a console-side reference.
How to use PowerShell Cheat Sheet
- Start with Getting help & discovery — the cmdlets there let you explore everything else.
- Search for a verb or noun like Get-, service or foreach to filter the sheet live.
- Jump to a section such as Pipeline & filtering or Remoting & jobs via the sticky sidebar.
- Click a command or its copy icon to copy it into your PowerShell session.
- Print the sheet for an offline cmdlet reference.
