About Crypto Profit Calculator

The crypto profit calculator shows the outcome of a trade from your investment amount, buy price, sell price and the exchange’s trading fee. The fee is applied on both sides: the buy fee is deducted from your investment before coins are purchased, and the sell fee comes out of the proceeds.

Results include your profit or loss, return on investment, the number of coins or units you actually held after the buy fee, the final value of the position and the total fees paid across both transactions.

Because percentage fees hit twice, they can quietly turn a small gain into a loss — this tool makes that visible before you trade. It is free, runs in your browser, and its figures are estimates, not financial advice.

How to use Crypto Profit Calculator

  1. Enter the amount you invested (or plan to invest).
  2. Set the buy price and the sell price of the coin.
  3. Enter your exchange’s trading fee percentage — it applies to both the buy and the sell.
  4. Read your profit or loss, ROI, units held, final value and total fees paid.

Frequently asked questions

Twice. The buy fee reduces the money that actually buys coins, so you hold slightly fewer units; the sell fee then trims the proceeds. The total-fees-paid row shows the combined cost.

Your investment minus the buy fee, divided by the buy price. That is the real coin quantity your money purchased, which the sell price is then applied to.

The calculator models one buy and one sell at single prices. For dollar-cost averaging, use your average buy price across purchases as the buy price for a close approximation.

Fees. If the price rose 10% but you paid 0.5% on each side, roughly 1% of the round trip went to the exchange, so your ROI lands near 9%.

No. Crypto taxation varies widely by country and holding period. Treat the results as trade estimates only — not financial or tax advice.
