The Child Blood Type Calculator works out every blood type a child could inherit from their parents, with a probability for each. Choose the mother's and father's ABO group and Rh factor and it builds the full Punnett square for both systems, then combines them into the eight possible types: A+, A−, B+, B−, AB+, AB−, O+ and O−.

ABO inheritance uses three alleles: A and B are co-dominant and O is recessive. That means a parent with type A blood may carry AA or AO, so two type-A parents can still have a type-O child. Rh works the same way with a dominant D allele — two Rh-positive parents can produce an Rh-negative child if both carry the recessive d.

Where a parent's visible blood type allows more than one genotype, the calculator treats each as equally likely, which is the standard textbook assumption. Real probabilities shift with family history and population frequencies, so treat the percentages as a genetics exercise rather than a test result.
