Hearing Test
Test your hearing range with frequency sweeps from 20 Hz to 20 kHz — free, in your browser.
Put on headphones in a quiet room and set your volume to a comfortable, moderate level. The test plays tones of rising frequency in each ear — tell us what you hear.
Start with your device volume around 50% — never test at high volume.
This is a fun screening tool, not a medical exam. If you are worried about your hearing, see an audiologist.

About Hearing Test
This online hearing test estimates the highest frequency each of your ears can hear. It plays tones of rising frequency, from low pitches up toward 20 kHz, separately in the left and right ear. You simply confirm whether you hear each tone, and the test records the highest frequency you detected per ear.
Your results are shown next to typical upper limits by age group — people under 20 often hear up to around 19 kHz, while the range gradually drops through the 30s, 40s, and beyond. A free-play mode also lets you sweep any frequency manually to explore your own hearing range.
The test runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API, so nothing is recorded or uploaded. It is a screening exercise, not a medical exam: if you are concerned about your hearing, see an audiologist.
