The Discount Calculator works out the final price after a markdown. Enter the original price and a discount, either a percentage off or a flat amount off, and it shows the final price and exactly how much you save. You can stack a second discount and add sales tax on top.
Stacked discounts apply sequentially: the second percentage is taken from the already-reduced price, not the original. That is why “30% off plus an extra 20% off” saves 44%, not 50%. Tax, when entered, is applied to the discounted price, matching how stores charge at the register.
