О Silence Remover

The Silence Remover strips pauses and dead air out of a recording automatically. Upload a podcast episode, lecture, interview or voice memo and an RMS silence detector finds every quiet stretch and cuts it, shortening the running time without touching what was actually said.

Two controls shape the edit. Sensitivity decides how quiet counts as silence — gentle for near-total silence, standard for most recordings, aggressive to catch quiet room tone as well — while the minimum length setting only cuts gaps from 0.5, 1 or 2 seconds upwards.

Instead of butt-splicing the pieces together, roughly two tenths of a second are left where each silence was, so speech keeps its natural rhythm rather than sounding chopped. Processing runs on the server, uses credits, and the cleaned file downloads as an MP3.

1. Upload the recording you want to tighten up — MP3, WAV, M4A or OGG.
2. Choose a sensitivity: gentle, standard (recommended) or aggressive.
3. Set the minimum silence to cut — short pauses from 0.5 s, natural pauses from 1 s, or long gaps only from 2 s.
4. Play the original in the preview player so you have a reference to compare against.
5. Click “Remove silences” and the tightened-up MP3 downloads automatically.
