Military time is simply the 24-hour clock written without a colon and read as four digits. Midnight is 0000, morning hours carry a leading zero (0630, spoken "zero six thirty"), noon is 1200, and every afternoon hour is the 12-hour value plus twelve, so 6 PM becomes 1800. Times on the hour are spoken as "hundred": 1800 is "eighteen hundred hours".
